Eligibility and the age gate

BudFinderKC is for adults 21 and older. You must be 21 or older to pass the age gate and use the site, and entering your date of birth there is your representation that you are.

• You're entering your own, accurate date of birth — not a guess and not someone else's.
• You won't try to bypass, spoof, or falsify the age gate.
• You're not creating an account, submitting content, or claiming a listing on behalf of, or for the benefit of, anyone under 21.

We log whether the age gate passed or failed, and when — never the date of birth itself. We can suspend or terminate any account on any indication its holder is under 21.

What's on the site, and where it comes from

Listings draw from two sources: Missouri's public DCR licensee register and information the businesses themselves submit or update. We keep both as current as we can, but hours, pricing, menu availability, and potency figures change — sometimes faster than we can catch. Verify anything that matters — especially whether a business is open, carries what you want, and holds a current license — before you go. The DCR's own licensed-dispensary map is the authoritative source on licensure, not us.

Nothing on BudFinderKC is medical advice. We don't evaluate qualifying conditions, recommend products for a condition, or create a physician-patient relationship of any kind. If you're considering a medical marijuana card, talk to a licensed physician or nurse practitioner.

Nothing on BudFinderKC is legal advice, and nothing here is a guarantee that any listed business is currently compliant with Missouri or federal law.

Accounts

You need an account to write a review, save favorites, or claim a listing.

• Give us accurate information and keep your email address current — it's how we reach you about your account and, for claimed listings, about billing.
• Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
• One person, one account. Don't create accounts for other people, and don't let anyone else use yours.

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, that we believe belongs to someone under 21, or that shows a pattern of manipulating reviews, ratings, or listings.

Reviews and other content you submit

You own what you write. By submitting a review, photo, or other content, you grant BudFinderKC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute it on the site and in our own promotional materials, including resized or excerpted versions. You represent that you have the right to grant that license and that your content doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights.

Write about your own, genuine experience, in your own words.

• No reviewing a business you own, work for, or have a budtender profile linked to — that connection gets disclosed, not hidden.
• No reviews written, edited, or held back in exchange for money, discounts, free product, contest entries, or any other incentive — from BudFinderKC or from the business.
• No reviewing a business you haven't actually dealt with.

We moderate reviews before they publish, against written, sentiment-neutral criteria that apply the same way to a five-star review and a one-star review. A business can respond publicly, and can flag a review it believes breaks the rules for a human decision — it cannot pay to have a genuine negative review removed, buried, or hidden, and we won't do it as a favor. Full detail is in our Community Guidelines and Review Policy at /guidelines, including the federal rules that ban fake reviews, reviews given in exchange for an incentive, and reviews from people with an undisclosed connection to the business.

Claiming and paying for a listing

Any Missouri-licensed dispensary, clinic, or brand can claim its own listing by verifying it's the business, or its authorized representative, and supplying a DHSS license number, which we check against the state's own register and re-check periodically.

Claiming gives you the ability to edit your listing — hours, photos, amenities, menu data, and review responses. It doesn't transfer any ownership interest in the listing, and it doesn't obligate us to keep it published if your license lapses, is suspended, or is revoked; we'll unpublish or flag it instead.

Claiming a listing puts it on our paid Claimed tier; Listed, Featured, and Premier are further paid upgrades on top of it that add promotions, higher placement, staff profiles, and similar features. Those tiers, their pricing, and the rules around advertising content are governed separately by our Advertiser Terms at /advertiser-terms, which every paying listing owner agrees to.

Sponsored content

Paid placement is always labeled. A Featured or Premier listing, a promoted card, or a paid position in search results carries a visible “Sponsored” or “Ad” label — not a tooltip, not a footnote. Paying for placement changes where a listing appears and how it's styled. It never changes a star rating, a review count, review order, or whether a review is visible. Money moves position; it doesn't move the truth.

Prohibited conduct

In addition to anything else in these Terms, you agree not to:

• Arrange, offer, or attempt a cannabis sale, purchase, gift, or trade through the site — in reviews, profiles, or community posts.
• Post content that’s false, defamatory, or harassing, or that doxxes or impersonates a listed business or its staff, including budtenders.
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically copy the site’s content or listing data outside normal browsing.
• Create fake accounts or fake reviews, or otherwise manipulate ratings, rankings, or review counts.
• Use the site to advertise or promote an unlicensed cannabis business, or a business you know to be operating outside Missouri’s licensed system.
• Upload content that’s obscene, infringes someone else’s rights, or violates any law.

Intellectual property

BudFinderKC's own content — our text, design, logo, and software — belongs to Wabbit LLC or our licensors. You may use the site to look up businesses; you may not copy, resell, or build a competing product from our compiled data or our own editorial content without written permission. Businesses retain rights in their own names, logos, and marks; a listing doesn't give BudFinderKC ownership of them, only the license described in our Advertiser Terms.

Copyright complaints

If you believe something on BudFinderKC infringes your copyright, don't post about it — file a notice. Our designated agent and takedown process are posted at /dmca, along with the counter-notice procedure if your own content was taken down by mistake.

Third-party links, menus, and ordering

BudFinderKC links out to listed businesses' own websites, ordering systems, and social media. We don't control those sites, we don't take orders on their behalf, and we don't handle cannabis payments anywhere on BudFinderKC. Any purchase you make happens entirely on the business's own systems, under its own terms — not ours.

BUDFINDERKC AND ALL LISTING CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT LISTING INFORMATION — INCLUDING HOURS, PRICING, MENU AVAILABILITY, OR PRODUCT POTENCY — IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT, OR THAT ANY LISTED BUSINESS IS ACTUALLY LICENSED AT THE MOMENT YOU VISIT IT. VERIFY BEFORE YOU RELY ON ANYTHING HERE.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WABBIT LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR YOUR DEALINGS WITH ANY LISTED BUSINESS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN TOLD SUCH DAMAGES ARE POSSIBLE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED FIFTY DOLLARS ($50) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITS, SO SOME OF THIS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Wabbit LLC harmless from any claim, loss, or expense — including reasonable attorneys' fees — arising from your content, your violation of these Terms, or your dealings with any business you found through BudFinderKC.

Termination

You can stop using BudFinderKC and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access at any time for a violation of these Terms, or for any reason we reasonably believe protects the site, its users, or listed businesses. Provisions that by their nature should survive — including content licenses already granted, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — survive termination.

Disputes and governing law

These Terms are governed by Missouri law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that can’t be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Jackson County, Missouri, and you consent to that venue.

Before filing anything, email us at hello@wabbit.com and give us 30 days to sort it out. Most disagreements don't need a courtroom, and we'd rather fix a real problem than litigate one.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the site, the law, or our own practices change. We'll update the effective date at the top and, for a material change, post a notice on the site. Continuing to use BudFinderKC after a change takes effect means you accept it.
